Café Eugenia is a gourmet café and event space in Freshfields Village near Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
Named after Kiawah’s historic avenue, the café highlights Mediterranean-inspired flavors with a Lowcountry influence.
Our ever-changing menu showcases locally sourced ingredients in seasonal salads, sandwiches, charcuterie boards, takeaway meals, and more, perfect to enjoy in our café, at home, or for your next gathering.
A recent addition to the café, The Sunroom is a thoughtfully designed private event space offering a warm, inviting setting for rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, brunches, and other special gatherings. Bright, comfortable, and elegant, it also hosts classes and hands-on workshops, giving guests a chance to create, learn, and connect with the community.
Founded by Bea Shaffer Young, Café Eugenia is rooted in both tradition and innovation. Inspired by her Lebanese grandmother’s cooking and shaped by years in Charleston’s culinary community, Bea brings a thoughtful approach to fresh, inventive, and wholesome food. Alongside her dedicated team, she is proud to serve Kiawah, Seabrook, and the surrounding islands with genuine hospitality and a passion for community.
